Siri Is Apparently Working Through Her Issues With Google Glass

So there’s Siri, holding court in the cafeteria and straight up lovin’ it: Everyone’s asking her questions, and how to do stuff and being like, “But what do you think about this, Siri?” Suddenly everyone is buzzing about the new kid, this Google Glass guy who says he knows a thing or two about this and that. And Siri, apparently, is not taking to sharing the virtual assistant throne well. Or rather she’s taking it with just a grain of sass. Glass sass.

The Verge’s Dan Seifert wanted to see what kind of comeback Apple’s Siri would have in a case of mistaken identity, and put Miss Popular to the test by prompting her with “Okay Glass,” which is the prompt for Google Glass.

She’s on her game, folks, with an update to iOS that prompts her to reply with such cracks as: “I think that Glass is half empty,” is one response, or then there’s “Stop trying to strap me to your forehead, [insert your name here]. It won’t work.”

And while you might have taken to gazing lovingly at your iPhone, Siri isn’t watching. “Just so you know, I won’t don’t anything when you blink at me [name of blinky iPhone user].

Whether these are fighting words or just Siri’s way of dealing with sharing her territory, it’s pretty amusing. As she puts it, “I’m not Glass. And I’m just fine with that.”
